Yeah, for me mostly the films that come out these days seem mediocre at best. A lot of them I really just can't find entertaining.
What you said about Sanctum I figured would be the case, but I was holding out hope for the Roommate. I'm pretty sure that one's a remake of a 90s film.
There actually is a movie that is basically a mix between this and a creature feature. It's called The Cave, and it is actually quite enjoyable. Just a suggestion to go check out.
