Lani, don't feel bad about wanting to see the Expendables. I want to see it merely for the horridness it shall produce. Over the top, mixed acting, and possibly the blandest screenplay in history. EXTREEEEEEEEEEME
I actually got to meet that Magnus guy. My 7th grade science teacher was The former US Strongman champion, and he used the section on the human muscular system as an excuse to bring in 2 weight-lifting friends of his to talk. One of them was.... TA DA! Magnus.
For Prince of Persia, it probably seems horrible that the whole thing just happened to the Prince because he reversed what happened, but that's what happened in the Sands of Time game.
As for the Princess, if it's the same as the game, her name is Farah.
I really need to see this movie just because I loved the game so much.
I personally don't call myself an Otaku but I do enjoy a lot of anime. Of course, a lot of it is either main-stream, or whatever happens to be on Comcast OnDemand at the time... ((well, before Funimation took over the anime section and now I have to pay for the good stuff... *sigh*))
I must say, though, I wonder what some of your future reviews will be about. I really am looking forward to them. You're funny and it's interesting to see the opinion of someone who's watched something for the first time.
Yea like Taku said, Prince of Persia pretty much followed the game pretty well. The whole reversal at the end was in the game...As a fan of the game they did a good job with the story. It did have some cliche moments but good two hours spent
The princesses name is Tamina, and Jake says it multiple times throughout the film...maybe you should have listened and watched the movie instead of making your little quips to your friend.
The movie did not follow the game at all. The only thing that was similar was the free running, there being a prince, and the general idea of a dagger. Everything else was changed. Basically the game revolved around restoring the kingdom (after the sands of time turned them into monsters) and returning the dagger. This movie wasn't even close to that
