  2. Well, the fact that Gohan is reading very advanced stuff may be the fact that Japanese study at very fast rates. maybe not at a tenth grade level. But still, a little faster than most.

And yeah! I wanted Gurren Lagann to! Though it's called Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, but that's nitpicking.

  3. Aw nostalgia. I think I still have this on vhs from where I recorded it from toonami (mixed in with sailor moon XD ).

  4. Aren't there 14 Dragon Ball Z movies now? The last one with Vegeta's unexplained little brother...the one that's almost a final slap in the face of the series...?

  5. This is probably the best thing I could have hoped for! Not only do I not have any idea what Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is, but watching these movies when I was younger (and now) was awesome. I remember the ONLY time me and my friend had a chance to watch the movies (and only the first 5 anyway) on cable was on YTV on New Year's night.

  10. Wow the abridged overlord that brings back some memories. Shouldn't Kaiser be hanging around the fortress?

  11. I half expected a "Krillen Owned Count" for when Gohan pees on his head.

  12. I certainly hope that after this SHORT madness is over, we'll get the supreme epicness that is Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.
It IS the manliest anime ever to have been made, you know.

  13. Wait. Is Overlord related in any way to Lord Vyce?

Ah well, it was a good review. I thought it may have been a bit redundant seeing as you and Proto Team Four Star did Dead Zone Abridged but, ah well, it was good anyway.

  14. Yeah if you are doing the overlord again you need to have Taka and Kaiser doing cameos because during the "War of the Abridged Creators" Kaiser was a servant of the overlord and Taka joined him towards the end...damn you memory and desire for continuity!

  15. This, im sorry to say was kind of a disappointment. Outside the Otaku was a good idea, being an outsiders perspective on certain animes not including the ones you already knew (DBZ, YYH). I know storylines are the "in" thing for reviewer shows now but if were watching you, chances are, we have watched DBZ before. Alot of us are not Otaku and like the idea of someone like ourselves watching these shows and telling us whats good and whats not.

My disappointment may also stem from the fact that Gurren Laggan is a epic show of Manliness! and this review tricked me to thinking you were going to review it lol.

Love your stuff, keep up the good work man.

  16. So how hard was it to not go into the Douchebag voice? You're a stronger man than me for resisting that temptation.

  17. I was so disappointed when there was no Gurren Lagan review. You have no idea

  18. Ah yes this reminds me of your old abrigded movies...I miss those.

  19. I wanted a review of Gurren Lagan also but, I want to see something that i've haven't seen to see if i would enjoy it...

  20. "Greetings, you pompous douchbag!"
    More, please!
(P.S. - I actually saw the dbz movies before the anime, but I still knew a lot about dbz because of the games.)

  21. I find it fitting that the Abridged Overlord has a passing resemblance to the Anti-Spiral, and seems to have the same overarching goal (absolute despair). To quote Film Brain, "SYMBOLISM!!!"

  22. I Fucking love your voice akting an Zabuza and Vegeta!!! *o*

  23. Aw, man! I too, was hoping for a Gurren Lagann review, so hopefully that'll come... 11 episodes from now. =_=

  24. Lani was made aware of the Spiral Nemesis, proceeded to kill all his fellow abridgers, and drive humanity underground.
