Slender
Slender
As most of you know I actually kindof like the survival horror genre (despite the fact that I don't get scared by it.) There is something about a haunted house game that gives me a rush that is kindof fun from time to time. A sense of helplessness (despite some cases of it being totally due to the fact that the main character is just a raging pussy *COUGH* Daneil *COUGH*) and isolation. Slender is one of those games. For it's obviously low budget and probably small team it came out rather well but at the same time it lacked the narrative that I tend to enjoy in these types of situations. It's one thing to wake up in the middle of danger but to actively hear yourself walk (and climb a fence) right into it without so much as a notion as to why you are there? It's essentially a doomed existance from the start where, to me, all tension has already been lost. What remains is a walk through a dark woodland area with drums, static and jump scares. A recipe that works for some, but not this guy. But why the hell are you reading this, I know you only me for my videos. Enjoy.
For a completely different perspective, here is my lovely girlfriend Erika playing the same game.
