  2. I love your review on New Moon, I tried writing my own, but it reached a good page and a half of why this movie was god awful. But ya, about the books, there are quite a few problems with them as well (God I hated having to research the series for my writing class) but ya, the books promote abusive relationship's, pedophilia, stalking, teen pregnancy, anti feminist (it tells women they need to be in a relationship or else their life is nothing) and a few other problems as well.

  3. Amen, we need to all ban together and stand up for ourselves. It's time to defeat the fangirls once and for all! Now for wrath, now for ruin, and the red dawn! Wait, let's keep the good stuff as far away from this as possible ^^.

    ...the movie sucks...

  4. Bravo Lani, Hilarious and you hit new moon on the nail!

  5. Lani, if you really hated New Moon then you're going to destroy the theater once Breaking Dawn (The fourth movie, yes I'm series) comes out.

(Spoilers) Basically Bella gets pregnant from Edward, she turns into a vampire and then Jake wants to mate with her daughter. Yeah. Terrific.

  8. Werewolves aren't allowed to own shirts, and that's the only reason I went to go see this movie. XD (That and I only had to pay 4 bucks)

But yeah, I agree that you should go see BDS2, man. It was amazing.

  9. Your New Moon review made me giggle xD I have a few friends who are fans of the Twlight book who actually hated that movie. I, personally, dislike Twlight a a whole. And I hate how they are now calling it "The Twlight Saga". Anyways when I saw thumbnail for the review video, I knew it was going to be lol. That thumbnail is very much win

  10. Because no one seems to be talking about the Blind Side, I have to admit I haven't seen it, and I don't really want to. It just seems like one of those movies that was made to be an Oscar winning movie and not targeted for any other audience. I know I might be wrong, but its just how I feel. Also not liking football has something else to do with it.

  12. I can only say two positive things about Twilight; I liked Carisle. Vampiric doctor. Yeah, I might read that; And I want to see how they're going to play off the scene in book 4 where McSparklepants rips out Mary Sue's stomach with his teeth to deliver their mutant hell spawn of a child.

  13. True!!!!
New Moon Movie sucks so bad
    Look at imdb rating
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1259571/
It's a lot of budget movie but the rating in imdb just like a movie who have low budget >.<
Battle for Terra is better than New Moon!!!!

  14. You need to do a one-man production of Twilight. Now THAT would be worthy of global adoration and squillions of dollars.

Oh, and the only thing that ever remotely interested me about the books was the baby. Because of its name. In short, the baby's name is a mixture of its grandmothers names....Renesme. And naturally, that made me think of fusion dance gone wrong!

  15. the movie just doesnt make good sence. i went to see it, to make fun of it, and yes there was quite a bit to make fun of.

  16. Loved the twilight review. Oh, and I have the same shirt as you. :3

  17. Though I don't agree with your review on New Moon. I got no real complaints it's your opinion you have a right to not like it. I guess I can understand where your coming from Lani. Last year when Twilight was a big hit I never heard of the franchise before. I was like 'what the hell is up with these girls going nuts over a vampire movie?'.

I didn't see Twilight in theaters but I caught the cam vid earlier this year.Just to get what the big fuss was all about and I don't know what happened. I actually enjoyed the film the story just clicked with me.

I currently own three of the four novels (still in the middle of the first book). In all honestly at this point the first movie is ok.But it can't hold a candle to the book it's a good read.

Also to clear up the whole buff Taylor comment and shirtless men. From what I heard about Taylor from the minute Twilight was done filming. To before filming happened for New Moon that guy was working out.He was on some special diet, where he'd eat alot. Then burn it off with weight training and as for the no shirt thing.

Kristin said in an interview that they don't wear shirts.Because if they did their shirts would shred off them when they transform. So if they always wore shirts then they'd be wasting alot of shirts. And wouldn't that raise questions if every day they would be in town buying shirts.

Anyways your review was funny and entertaining to watch. I'd likely be the same way around Harry Potter can not stand that franchise never read the books.Never saw the films every time I see a preview of Harry Potter. I go 'ugh seriously another one give it a rest already' Keep up the good work Lani can't wait for your next review.

  18. After the first one I knew not to bother with this one. The acting from the first one gave me a headache and the entire storyline just sucked. I have no idea why this series has so many fans... By the way, nice thumbnail.

  19. I agree with you completely. For me personally, as a performing arts major and a writer, it painful to watch something like that. The acting of the minor characters completely outshines that of the main characters. There was no feeling between the main characters and it makes it awkward. I actually hope to become a director one day, and I can't see what would have possibly made the director think that something like that was ok. I'm only in my second year and I know more that's something you just don't do.
I've also, read the books, and unlike some people, I don't judge things negatively unless I've actually looked into it enough to form a real opinion. Smart people don't don't say they can't stand a franchise if they've never given it a chance. Unless, they've either read the books or seen the movie, they just don't have the right to judge, and they just make themselves look like ignorant fools. Stephanie Myer's books aren't too bad, but her plot is unoriginal. The sae girl falls in love with vamp thing has been done a lot before, and by better writers. She just simply added her own weird sparkly twist to it. Also, the character of Bella is simply a Marry-Sue. She's horribly developed and completely unrealistic. Oh and as a girl, I find the whole, I can't survive without you crap to be pretty offensive. There are very few girls who are actually that pathetic, and most of the girls like that are actually suffering from some sort of depression.
For the most part, something that I find helps keep you from feeling like you've wasted two hours of your life, is to just make fun of the movie in a loud and amusing way. For this movie, I suggest Harry Potter, Sharkboy, and that's what she said jokes. If for some reason you feel compelled to try out the next one, that will help you from feeling like you've completely wasted your time.
Oh, and once again... making a stab at the idiot who decided to judge something he's never given a chance, Twilight is nothing compared to Harry Potter. Any girl with some crazy fantasy about some immortal creature could write something like Twilight, because in case you've failed to notice this, Bella is based off of Stephanie Myer. J. K. Rowling wrote her story in the point of view of an 11-17 year old boy, which she has never been. Obviously, one writer has more talent than the other.

  20. I'm actually kind of surprised that you didn't make mention of the fact that Edward, later in the movie, was doing the Jedi ghost trick with Bella during the vampire council thing.

BTW, the books are written horribly. Got a female friend that tried to read them, and it's actual torture for her to get through them. Each sentence. Is like. Two words. At best. And then there's the verbs and adjectives that are used 200 billion times. You know because her vocabulary is limited to just those words, and nothing else. Like, smoldering.

  21. i loved your review, frankly, im a huge fan of the books. Of course i liked it back before anyone knew what the heck twilight was but thats neither here nor there... I hated the movies, i mean the first one made me want to throw up because well the actors kinda sucked ass, the second wasnt as bad but still.. yeah i defenatly agree that people should wait till later to see it. *sigh* i liked it better when reading about vampires made you seem weird, not part of an ever growing fanclub of screaming maniac 12 year old girls

  22. LOL you saw New Moon. Oh God. I can't stand the way the main character guy looks. he has this look on his face like "i'm the shit" now that girl seems like she is taking over that expression too -_- A battle ey? That's some >< battle (hard battle)

  23. I gotta say the only thing that made this movie enjoyable for me was the audience. The audience reactions to some moments were just hysterical. Some people get mad at the hard core fans fore their weirdness. Me? I just laugh and am glad I'm not one of them. To each their own I suppose.

  24. I respect the fact that you didn't burn the movie screen, I couldn't even see the commercials it made me want to like punch babies it was so annoying.

  25. I didn't hate the books, but the porn for kids comment was accurate. I'd call it "emotional porn." And, just like with regular porn, don't expect a highly detailed plot with heavily nuanced characters
